UNESCO City of Music Tallinn will commemorate Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day with a traditional concert at Harjumägi’s 20th of August Square. The concert will take place on Tuesday, August 20, at 14:00 and is free for all. Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski will greet fellow citizens on this festive day.

On Thursday, representatives from the City of Tallinn, East Tallinn Central Hospital, West Tallinn Central Hospital, and Tallinn Children's Hospital met to discuss the consolidation of the hospital network. The meeting focused on analyzing the current situation and deciding on the composition of the working group for Tallinn's hospital project.

Tallinn Zoo is testing a new mobile application, NaviLens, throughout August to improve accessibility for visually impaired visitors. The app uses innovative codes readable by mobile cameras to provide important directions and information about attractions. Initiated by the Tallinn Strategic Management Office’s Tourism Department, this project is part of a broader effort to update the city’s signage system.

On Friday, August 30, starting at 18:00, the streets of Tallinn will come alive with the vibrant "Kultuuriöö (Culture Night)" festival, themed "Ääretud silmapiirid (Boundless Horizons)" this year. Now in its eighth year, the festival highlights cultural forms from the periphery and brings to the stage young and lesser-known cultural creators. Starting Monday, August 19, all five tram lines in Tallinn will be back in operation. Tram services had been temporarily disrupted due to the construction of the Old City Harbour tram line and the construction of a grade-separated railway crossing at Tondi.
