Tomorrow, August 1, Tondiraba Ice Hall will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a skating disco.

The Tallinn City Government has allocated 6000 euros from the city’s reserve fund to the Tallinn Culture and Sports Department to recognize the achievements of Johannes Erm and his coach Holger Peel at the European Athletics Championships in Rome, Italy.

From July 11 to 14, Tallinn will host the world’s largest sailing training regatta, Tall Ships Races, at Lennusadam, Noblessner Harbour, and the Old City Harbour cruise area. Over the course of four days, the harbors will be filled with a festive atmosphere – visitors can explore sailing ships, enjoy performances by Estonia’s top artists, and participate in activities both on land and at sea.

From June 13 to August 30, Tallinn is opening 38 school stadiums and four sports fields for free public use. Sports equipment boxes, containing items like balls, will be available for borrowing on-site.

Today, the Tallinn City Government decided to propose to the City Council the discontinuation of the Tallinn Sports School, an institution run by the Tallinn Culture and Sports Department, by no later than June 30 of this year. This summer, for the first time, Tallinn will host the world's largest international sail training regatta, Tall Ships Races 2024, offering young people aged 15–25 the opportunity to participate in a sail training program. Due to high interest and the unique opportunity, organizers have opened a new round for young people to apply to become sail trainees.

Tallinn is planning an extension for the Sõle Sports Centre to improve the facility's amenities and ensure the safety of its users. The addition will provide an extra 1,400 square meters of space.
