Tallinn partners with Peaasi.ee to bring additional psychologists to schools
Next year, Tallinn, in collaboration with Peaasi.ee, will introduce new psychologists into the city’s school system to support youth mental health. The program will recruit individuals with a background in psychology who will undergo a year-long mentoring program. By providing students with easy access to mental health support, the initiative aims to prevent the development of mental health issues among young people.

European Capital of Sport opening event transforms Tallinn Song Festival Grounds into a skiing center
Tallinn’s year as the European Capital of Sport in 2025 brings a sports program offering residents the opportunity to explore various sports throughout the year. January is dedicated to skiing, and on January 18, the Song Festival Grounds will host a skiing day, followed by the festive opening of the sports year.
Tallinn increases support for the Food Bank
The City of Tallinn plans to significantly increase support for the Food Bank (Toidupank) to ensure that food aid reaches more people in need. Currently, approximately 6,300 people receive food aid weekly in Tallinn. In September, Tallinn Food Bank (Tallinna Toidupank) opened a distribution point in Mustamäe, and next year, it plans to expand to Põhja-Tallinn to bring food distribution closer to those in need. Assistance is provided in close cooperation with local social workers, who assess individuals' need for support.
The trolleybus tender was won by the major manufacturer Škoda Group
Aktsiaselts Tallinna Linnatransport announces that the winner of the trolleybus tender, announced in the second half of the summer, is the long-established major manufacturer Škoda Group. As a result of the tender, trolleybuses will be produced that can be used in areas without overhead lines, thus ensuring a more flexible and efficient service of the network. The tender includes the procurement of twenty-two 18-meter and eighteen 12-meter trolleybuses, with an option to purchase an additional 30 trolleybuses.
