The City of Tallinn is taking the next step in building a new tram line – preparations for the construction of the Pelguranna tram line are moving into the design phase. The new line will serve the neighborhoods of Pelguranna, Sitsi, Pelgulinn, Karjamaa, and Kalamaja, providing fast and convenient connections to the city center. It will also improve mobility options for pedestrians and cyclists.

This September, Estonia will host a rare basketball spectacle: the Japanese top-league club Yokohama B-Corsairs, featuring Estonian national team star Maik-Kalev Kotsar, and the newly crowned Polish champions Warsaw Legia, coached by Heiko Rannula, will play a series of pre-season exhibition games in Estonia. Their opponents will include each other as well as Estonia’s top clubs BC Kalev/Cramo and Tartu Ülikool Maks & Moorits.

For the third year in a row, Tallinn has published the annual report on the implementation of the “Tallinn 2035” development strategy. The report provides a clear overview of how the city delivered on its goals over the past year and how it tackled key challenges along the way.

On 12 September, the Tallinn Electoral Committee registered the candidates for the 2025 Tallinn City Council elections and conducted a draw to assign candidate numbers.
