On June 9, Estonia will elect seven members to the European Union's 720-member Parliament. Citizens can vote both at polling stations and online.

Construction work on water and district heating pipelines is ongoing until the end of June in the Kristiine district, specifically along Käbliku and Koskla streets and the section of Sõpruse puiestee between them. Work on Käbliku Street began on May 6. From May 13 to June 3, the bus lane on Sõpruse puiestee heading towards the city centre will be closed, and Koskla Street will be partially closed (near buildings No. 16, 18, and 22).

On May 13 and 14, the Viru bus terminal will be closed to bus traffic due to paving works. As a result, temporary changes will be made to the routes and bus stop locations for bus lines No. 1, 29, and 40 in the area.

As part of Tallinn Day, the Ghetto Games street sports festival is set to take place on a larger scale than ever before on Saturday, May 18, from 12:00 to 19:00. The festival will be held next to the Estonian Maritime Museum at the Seaplane Harbour/Lennusadam area. The board of AS Tallinna Arendused approved the resignation request of the sole board member, Margus Jaanson, effective from May 11. From May 9 until the recruitment and commencement of a new board member, the council has temporarily appointed Joosep Vimm, a current board member, as the interim board member.

On May 1 this year, Estonia marked 20 years as a member of both the European Union and NATO. In celebration, a concert titled "Our Europe. Our NATO" will take place on Europe Day, May 9, at Freedom Square in Tallinn, featuring artists such as Bedwetters, nublu, Gameboy Tetris, and Tommy Cash. The Tallinn City Government has appointed the district governors for Haabersti and Mustamäe. Starting today, May 10, Anna Levandi will lead the Haabersti district, and Marja-Liisa Veiser will lead Mustamäe.

On Wednesday, May 15, and Saturday, May 18, both residents and visitors are invited to participate in the festivities of Tallinn Day, celebrating 776 years since Tallinn was granted city rights under Lübeck Law. The events kick off with a meeting between the Prime Minister and the Mayor at the Short Leg Gate, followed by the Mayor opening the doors of Tallinn Town Hall accompanied by the Tallinn Police Orchestra at 12:00.

The Tallinn City Government approved the decision to initiate the detailed planning for the Suur-Sõjamäe 4 property and its vicinity, paving the way for the redevelopment of the shopping center located on the site and the construction of commercial buildings near the intersection of Tartu maantee and Suur-Sõjamäe Street. Additionally, the detailed plan creates the opportunity for future development of a European Park linking the Rail Baltica junction station and the shopping center extensions.
