The Tallinn City Government submitted a draft of the third supplementary budget of 2023 to the city council. According to the draft, the city budget will increase by 46.5 million euros. Should the draft be adopted, the final budget for 2023 will be 1.18 billion euros.
Tallinn is developing a solution for the reconstruction of Ristiku Street, Härjapea Street and Ristiku Põik, which will result in the creation of a safer and more comfortable urban space for all road users. The 41st Tallinn Old Town Days are set to take place from Friday to Sunday, 2-4 June. The Tallinn City Government made a proposal to the City Council to give diplomats who reside in the capital the right to use public transport free of charge. The reason for this is that according to the new regulation coming into force on 1 July, the free parking of diplomatic missions’ vehicles in public parking spaces will be reduced.
As a result of the negotiations between the City of Tallinn and OÜ BCA Center, the terms of the management contracts of five schools will become more favourable for the city and the city will save nearly 17.6 million euros during the contract period.
A new series of outdoor training programmes lasting throughout the summer will begin on Monday, 12 June. The objective of these programmes is to offer young people aged 7-26 a way to spend time doing sporting activities during the summer and to encourage them to exercise regularly. Participation in the summer training is free for young people from Tallinn.
