The first free Museum Sunday of 2023 will take place this Sunday, 8 January. The initiative will be joined by the Nõmme Museum, located in the former station building.
On 10 March, the photo exhibition "I Choose Life", depicting Ukrainians who fled to Estonia from the war and their stories, will open on Vabaduse Square. It is a social and cultural project created by Ukrainian war refugee photographers.

The Tallinn City Government approved at its meeting on 18 January the regulations that will increase the allowance for private kindergartens from €200 to €264 per child per month from 1 January, and the rate of private kindergarten allowance will increase from up to €200 to €264 per month. The private nursery allowance is paid to nursery schools and the childcare allowance is paid to parents.

For the third time, Tallinn is organizing the Tallinn Talent music competition, which aims to highlight and support musically talented students. Yesterday, 30 January, the City of Tallinn, in cooperation with the Tallinn Literary Centre and the Estonian Writers' Union, awarded the Tammsaare Novel Prize for the fifth time at the Town Hall. The Tammsaare Novel Prize was awarded to Tõnu Õnnepalu.
The Tallinn Education Department is accepting applications for support measures for youth summer camps. The applications are accepted until 15 March. The support measure is directed towards 7-19 year olds. The applications must be sent by licensed camp organizers.
