Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart met with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis, who is visiting Estonia, at Tallinn Town Hall.

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart and Aivar Riisalu, Member of the City Council and Chairman of the Innovation Committee, on a visit to the Republic of Korea, met with Lee Han-kyu, Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, and visited Shinhan University, where the Mayor was awarded an honorary doctorate.

Estonian Designers' Union launched a sustainable design competition RoheAsi (GreenThing) on Monday. The competition is organized in cooperation with the city of Tallinn, which in 2023 will hold the title of European Green Capital.

Tallinn City Government has decided to allocate €25,000 to the Tallinn Social Welfare and Healthcare Department for a targeted subsidy to the Estonian Red Cross to support the Ukrainian Red Cross in providing humanitarian aid to the people of Eastern Ukraine.

Tallinn has announced a single-stage architecture competition to seek out a new design that would fit the concepts of Koidu tänav as a home street as well as the main street of Uus-Maailm. The competition covers the area between Suur-Ameerika tänav, Koidu tänav and Pärnu maantee.

From September 14th to 16th, Tallinn's parks and the historic Old Town will come alive with a mesmerizing display of lights as the "Light Walks" festival returns for the 19th time. The theme of this year's outdoor light festival is "Colors of the Dark."

The Chairperson of the Tallinn City Council, Maris Sild, has declared the nominations open for the Tallinn Citizen of the Year award. Nominations are accepted until November 1, 2023.
