During the weekends of October 21-22 and October 28-29, Tallinn residents can dispose of hazardous waste and reusable items at local collection events.

The Tallinn City Government decided in today's session to retrospectively increase the minimum salaries of teachers, support specialists, and pre-school teacher aides, effective from January 1, 2024.

Today, the City of Tallinn signed a design and construction contract with Merko Ehitus Eesti AS and KMG Inseneriehituse AS for the construction of a tram line connecting Tallinn Old City Harbour and the future Ülemiste Terminal. The cost of the contract is €36.5 million plus VAT, and the construction works are due in February 2025.

After 21 years the periodic land valuation was carried out, which will provide Tallinn landowners with objective and up-to-date information of the market value of their land. The results of the 2022 valuation will be used for taxation from 2024 onwards. The land tax will not increase by more than 10% per year
