Tallinn Tondi School will celebrate its 100th birthday this year. The centenary was celebrated with a festive concert on 19 January.

For the third time, Tallinn is organizing the Tallinn Talent music competition, which aims to highlight and support musically talented students. The twenty-two best participants will be awarded the title of the city's most talented young musician and a one-off scholarship. Registration for the competition closes on 13 February.

Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart met with a delegation from the City of Helsinki, led by Mayor Juhana Vartiainen. The meeting focused on cooperation between the two cities and developing sustainable and durable solutions and boosting economic relations.

Until Monday, 13 February, talented students from Tallinn's general and recreational schools can register for the music competition Tallinna Talent, which is held for the third time this year. This year, the City of Tallinn is hosting and supporting nearly 100 high-level international sporting events, including 20 European Championships, World Cups and European Cups. The City of Tallinn supports the organization of international sporting events with a total of €715 000.

At the 18th Tallinn Youth Work Awards Gala "Suured teod" held yesterday, the nominees for 2022 were recognised in five categories: great achievements of Tallinn's youth, great achievements for Tallinn's youth, Tallinn youth worker of the year, Tallinn young volunteer of the year and Tallinn youth association of the year.

Today, on 21 February, the new building of Tallinn Rõõmupesa kindergarten (A. H. Tammsaare tee 141) was officially opened in Mustamäe district. The building, which has ten classrooms, can accommodate up to 240 children. The nursery has recreation classes, a gym, a hall and a study room.

The parents of 47 newborns received name certificates during the ceremony held at Town Hall today. The name certificates were given out with folders which were decorated with the city's coat of arms.
