On Friday, August 30, starting at 18:00, the streets of Tallinn will come alive with the vibrant "Kultuuriöö (Culture Night)" festival, themed "Ääretud silmapiirid (Boundless Horizons)" this year. Now in its eighth year, the festival highlights cultural forms from the periphery and brings to the stage young and lesser-known cultural creators. The event will feature music, art, film, performances, exhibitions, movement, discussions, and various workshops.

Tallinn is preparing to build a bicycle path connecting Poska Street and Reidi tee to enhance the city's cycling network and make walking and cycling more convenient. The public presentation of the main project for the bicycle path between Poska Street and Reidi tee will take place online on Wednesday, September 4 at 17:30.

Packaging waste accounts for around 60% of household waste and separate collection of packaging does not create more waste but significantly reduces the volume of mixed municipal waste. Packages can be brought to public packaging waste collection containers or to waste stations.

Over the past two years, a comprehensive environmental education program has been conducted in Tallinn’s kindergartens and schools, teaching children to reduce waste and reuse items. The program involved 125 kindergartens and 55 schools, and activities were also held at public events, engaging approximately 31,300 children in total.

Starting in October, a "green wave" traffic system will be implemented on Liivalaia Street, allowing motor vehicles to move more smoothly. Traffic lights will be programmed in such a way that full pedestrian crossings will remain intact.

On Sunday, September 15, the official opening of Pelgu Community Garden (Pelgu ühisaed) will take place. The opening celebration of the city's largest community garden starts at 2 pm and will be held at the corner of Ehte and Kolde streets, where visitors can enjoy a diverse program.

On Sunday, September 15, Pikk Street Festival will take place on Pikk Street in Tallinn's Old Town. In addition to the diverse program, the "Stories of Pikk and Laia Street" audio guide application will be available for festival visitors, offering the chance to explore the area independently.

The Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards competition recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs and initiatives that contribute to the city's development. Applications are open until Tuesday, September 10.
