The world's largest training regatta ‘The Tall Ships Races’ will not take place this year due to COVID-19 restrictions and the ongoing spread of the pandemic. The regatta will return to the Baltic Sea in 2024. Instead, Tallinn will be holding an impressive maritime festival in the five ports of Tallinn this summer, taking place in 16-18 July.

Until March 26, parents can submit applications for the appointment of schools of residence for children entering the first grade of Tallinn Municipal School in September this year.

On May 3rd, the second season of the sea waste skimmer Seabin was opened at the quay of the Tallinn Old City Harbour. The Tallinn City Government has decided to continue the full rent exemption for outdoor terraces in the city until the end of May this year, with a 50 per cent rental discount from the beginning of June until the end of August. Full rent exemption will again be applied from the beginning of September until the end of December this year.
