So said Yuliia Zamushynska, ecologist from the EcoVin Municipal Utility Company in Vinnytsia (Ukraine) when she introduced plans for developing waste management in Vinnytsia during a study visit to Tallinn last week.

Today, Finland celebrates its Independence Day, marking the declaration of an independent state in 1917. In honor of this day, the light posts at Freedom Square are illuminated in the colors of the Finnish flag.

This year, the City of Tallinn has supported the restoration of privately-owned heritage buildings and architecturally valuable structures with nearly €500,000. Next year’s budget plans to increase this amount by an additional €250,000.

At a gala held in Brussels, the president of the European Capitals and Cities of Sport Federation (ACES Europe), Gian Francesco Lupattelli, and European Commissioner for Culture and Sport, Glenn Micallef, presented Tallinn with the title of European Capital of Sport 2025.
