Voting for Tallinn's participatory budget has started today, with everyone in Tallinn aged 14 or over able to vote for up to two ideas of their choice in their neighborhood.
Tomorrow, on 25 November, from 8am to 9am, three sports halls and three winter swimming centers will host a Sports Morning. All participants will be granted free entry.
As of Tuesday, 5,703 residents of Tallinn had participated in the vote on the ideas for Tallinn's 2023 participatory budget, and a sufficient number of residents in Põhja-Tallinn have participated for the results to be considered valid. Residents can view all the ideas and vote for their favorites until 4 December on the website https://www.tallinn.ee/en/participatorybudget.
Next year's budget for Tallinn's education sector includes a pay rise for school and nursery school teachers. The 2023 budget also includes increased payments for school lunches and other investments for educational establishments.
Tallinn's skating rinks, which opened in mid-November, have already been visited more than 52 000 times. The whole population is welcome to enjoy the winter fun - the capital's schools can continue to organize free exercise classes on the ice rinks, and there are also free facilities for senior citizens.
Residents should update their residence data in the Population Register before 3 February in order to participate in the Parliament elections in Tallinn.
This year the City of Tallinn offers free legal advice to residents on ten consultation days, scheduled in each city district. The first consultation day will take place this Friday, 17 March from 9 am to 6 pm at the Nõmme District Government.
UNESCO City of Music Tallinn will commemorate Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day with a traditional concert at Harjumägi’s 20th of August Square. The concert will take place on Tuesday, August 20, at 14:00 and is free for all. Mayor Jevgeni Ossinovski will greet fellow citizens on this festive day.
The City of Tallinn is offering residents free legal consultations on designated legal advice days scheduled across various districts. Following a summer break, the next legal advice days will be held on September 5 from 1 pm to 6 pm in the Lasnamäe district administration, and on September 19 from 1 pm to 6 pm in the Kristiine district administration.
