Tallinn plans to establish a bicycle path between Poska Street and Reidi tee to enhance mobility for pedestrians and cyclists and to develop the city's network of bike paths. The public introduction of the preliminary design for the Poska-Reidi bike path is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, at 17:30 at the Mati Undi Museum, located at Koidula 17.
On Saturday, May 18, the LHV Maijooks race will lead to partial or complete closure of certain streets in the Kesklinn and Pirita districts from 12:30 to 15:00 . The race will also affect the operations of bus lines No. 1, 5, 6, 8, 34, and 38.
On May 19, it marked a year since the introduction of night bus lines in Tallinn. In addition to the four routes tested last year, two new routes to Nõmme and Pirita were added this January.
From tomorrow until Sunday, all 76 polling stations in Tallinn will be open for the European Parliament elections. Advance and electronic voting will continue until June 8, with election day on Sunday, June 9.
On July 1, speed cameras located in the area of the Reidi tee, Narva maantee, and Pirita tee intersection will be activated. These cameras will not only detect speed violations but also those who ignore red traffic lights.
Starting from June 13 until August 30, Tallinn will open 38 municipal school stadiums for free public use. The official Launch will take place on June 13 at noon at the Kristiine Spordimaja's outdoor field, with a concert by Clicherik & Mäx and OLLIE in the evening at the Pelgulinna School stadium.
From July 11 to 14, Tallinn will host the world’s largest sailing training regatta, Tall Ships Races, at Lennusadam, Noblessner Harbour, and the Old City Harbour cruise area. Over the course of four days, the harbors will be filled with a festive atmosphere – visitors can explore sailing ships, enjoy performances by Estonia’s top artists, and participate in activities both on land and at sea.
Tallinn is announcing Klindi Park idea competition to plan the nearly nine-kilometer-long limestone cliff course that runs through the districts of Kesklinn, Lasnamäe and Pirita as a green corridor. Entries can be submitted from May 19th to August 19th 2022.
