Tallinn Day will be celebrated for the 21st time on Sunday 15 May, but the first events to mark the city's birthday will take place on Friday 13 May.

The City of Tallinn has selected three innovative projects through its "Test in Tallinn" program competition, offering residents the opportunity to experience smart city solutions designed to enhance their quality of daily life.

Statistics for the first half of 2024 indicate a significant rise in the use of night buses in May and June compared to the beginning of the year. Tallinn operates six night bus lines, with the most popular routes being towards Mustamäe and Lasnamäe.

UNESCO City of Music Tallinn will commemorate Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day with a traditional concert at Harjumägi’s 20th of August Square. The City of Tallinn is offering residents free legal consultations on designated legal advice days scheduled across various districts. Following a summer break, the next legal advice days will be held on September 5 from 1 pm to 6 pm in the Lasnamäe district administration, and on September 19 from 1 pm to 6 pm in the Kristiine district administration.

This autumn, Tallinn is planning several updates to the public transport network to improve connections between city districts and offer more convenient transfer options. Next week, construction will begin on the first phase of the Putukaväil (The Pollinator Highway) project in Tallinn, creating a new pedestrian and cyclist corridor between Ristiku and Sõle streets and establishing a diverse linear park that connects Sõle Street with Kolde puiestee.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted its budget strategy for 2025-2028 and the implementation plan for the “Tallinn 2035” development strategy to the City Council. The budget strategy serves as a guide for directing the city’s development and creating city budgets over the next four years, considering sustainability and financial feasibility.
