The Tallinn City Government plans to open municipal school stadiums and sports fields for free public use from June 13 to August 30.

Starting from June 13 until August 30, Tallinn will open 38 municipal school stadiums for free public use. The official Launch will take place on June 13 at noon at the Kristiine Spordimaja's outdoor field, with a concert by Clicherik & Mäx and OLLIE in the evening at the Pelgulinna School stadium.

From June 13 to August 30, Tallinn is opening 38 school stadiums and four sports fields for free public use. Sports equipment boxes, containing items like balls, will be available for borrowing on-site.

From 19 December to 4 January and from 4 March to 31 May, the exhibition "A year in Tallinn 2022" will be open from 19 December to 4 January.

This year the City of Tallinn supports hobby schools with €327 500 with the aim to support the recreational education of children aged 7-19.

Tallinn, the European Green Capital 2023, has joined the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, which has a key objective to support at least 150 European regions and communities in building resilience to climate change by 2030

Beginning September 14, 2024, Tallinn residents will be able to use municipal school stadiums and sports fields free of charge on weekends and during school holidays, throughout the entire year. During the weekdays, these stadiums will be reserved for school activities.

During the autumn school holiday, school stadiums and sports fields in Tallinn will be open to residents for free daily exercise from 10 am to 6 pm. The sports areas are equipped with inventory boxes, offering balls available for on-site use.
