A total of 132 ideas proposed by active citizens in Tallinn's eight districts will be put to the vote next Monday.

In anticipation of Advent, Tallinn will be decorated with fairytale-like winter lights - Christmas decorations and various lighting solutions will be installed in the Old Town and all over the city. People are invited to visit the Christmas Market, enjoy ice skating in various ice rinks and take part in several events.

Tallinn City Centre administration announced a contest for the spruces and firs to become the representative Christmas tree installed on the Town Hall Square Christmas market.

Every weekday, Haabersti Youth Center offers free activities in hobby groups, study assistance and leisure activities to support young people's activity and coping in social life.

During the last two weekends, 21-22 and 27-29 August, a total of 2,690 people were vaccinated in 16 schools in Tallinn. The anniversary events in Tallinn will start today at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds (Lauluväljak), where a new visitor centre is opened. On August 19-21, there will be several concerts and events taking place all over the city.

From September 18 until September 26, the seventh Ethnic Culture Days take place in Tallinn, starting with a traditional ethno-fair on the Town Hall Square on Saturday. The programme consists of free workshops, exhibitions and cinema screenings, concerts and overviews of the culture and customs of different nationalities living in Tallinn.

During the Ironman triathlon and events connected to the competition, several streets will be closed, parking will be limited and there will be changes to public transport services and their timetables on 7-8 August.
