Tallinn has started to improve the ventilation systems in all municipal school buildings where needed. This year, the city has earmarked €1.5 million for the improvements.

Tallinn City and Viimsi Parish, together with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) Tallinn Centre, are participating in a project involving partners from 12 countries to make school meals healthier and more environmentally friendly for children in Europe.

Today, 5 April, Tallinn City Youth Council addressed Deputy Mayor of Tallinn Andrei Novikov with a proposal to open night-time public transport services in Tallinn on weekends. According to Novikov, the proposal was certainly worth considering.

On Tuesday, January 11, Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart met with Director General of Dubai Municipaliy, Sheikh Dawood Rahman Al-Hajr to discuss the smart city concept and e-solutions, as well as Tallinn as the next European Green Capital.

Tallinn and Tartu in cooperation with a delegation of Estonian IT businesses will host a business seminar on future city solutions in the Estonian Pavilion at Dubai EXPO on January 10. The seminar will be opened by Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart.
