Starting August 1st, tram lines No. 3 and 4 will resume service to the Tondi terminus.

Due to gutter repairs, the Viru Bus Terminal will be temporarily closed to bus traffic from the beginning of the day on Wednesday, July 10, until the end of the day on July 31. This will affect the routes and stops for bus lines 1, 29, and 40.

Starting Monday, August 19, all five tram lines in Tallinn will be back in operation. Tram services had been temporarily disrupted due to the construction of the Old City Harbour tram line and the construction of a grade-separated railway crossing at Tondi.

On August 21, Tallinn city leaders had the opportunity to participate in an accessibility walk. The participants experienced firsthand the challenges that individuals using wheelchairs or strollers face and how the existing infrastructure impacts their journey.

This Sunday, August 25, asphalting work will take place at the intersection of Paldiski maantee and Toompuiestee, resulting in changes to trolley lines No. 1, 4, and 5 from 15:00 until the end of the day.

Next weekend, on August 24-25, the international triathlon event IRONMAN Tallinn 2024 will take place, resulting in temporary traffic restrictions and changes in public transport routes in both Tallinn and Harjumaa. In Tallinn, the temporary changes will mainly affect the Haabersti district, with parking and traffic restrictions as well as changes to public transport schedules.

From August 29 to September 1, Tallinn will host another vibrant Linnaruumifestival (Urban Space Festival), offering activities and discussions for everyone. In keeping with the city’s maritime heritage, this year's festival will focus on the seaside, with most of the program taking place around the Linnahall area.

Several roadworks in the city are nearing completion, bringing some relief to traffic and allowing certain bus lines that were previously diverted to return to their usual routes. However, ongoing projects in Tallinn will continue to affect traffic in the coming weeks.

Tallinn is preparing to build a bicycle path connecting Poska Street and Reidi tee to enhance the city's cycling network and make walking and cycling more convenient. The public presentation of the main project for the bicycle path between Poska Street and Reidi tee will take place online on Wednesday, September 4 at 17:30.

The Swedbank Tallinn Marathon and Tallinn Autumn Run, taking place next weekend, September 7-8, will bring around 20,000 participants to the streets of Põhja-Tallinn, Kesklinn, and Haabersti, leading to temporary changes in traffic and public transportation.
