In April, Tallinn allocated a total of 375 820 euros to 293 high-achieving athletes and 19,062 euros to 17 local sports projects as part of the grants for non-profit activities in the field of sports.
Tallinn will initiate a four-month-long night bus pilot project lasting from 19 May to 17 September. During this period, four routes will be active at night from Friday to Sunday.
The Tallinn City Government decided during today’s meeting that seven locations in Old Town will be leased out to Ringo Eco OÜ, a business specialising in green technology. The aim of this cooperation is to conduct a month-long pilot project to test the collection of reusable packaging in Old Town.
From Monday, 1 May, Bolt will set the maximum speed of electric scooters in the centre of Tallinn as 20 km/h on most streets as opposed to the previous 25 km/h. This is a pilot project born in cooperation with the Tallinn City Government and the police. The purpose is to calm traffic and monitor the change in traffic behaviour.
Due to construction works, the Tõnismäe stop on Kaarli puiestee and the Freedom Square blue-coloured bus stop in the centre of Tallinn will be temporarily closed.
Due to the full-scale reconstruction works of Jõe and Pronksi streets, the intersection of Pronksi and Gonsiori streets will be closed to traffic from Tuesday, 2 May until 30 June. The closure is connected to the construction of the underground communication lines in the area of the intersection.
This spring, Tallinn will give out a total of 125 kits of sorted waste collection boxes to 24 city institutions for the purpose of improving and promoting waste sorting in city-managed institutions.
