From Monday 13 June, 14 school stadiums and 4 sports fields will be open to the public in Tallinn, free of charge. At least one school stadium will be opened in each district.
Over the last two weekends of May, a total of 1,444 residents of Tallinn handed over altogether 26.5 tonnes of hazardous waste in the collection campaign, and 1.5 tonnes of reusable items were donated for recycling.
Pirita and Pikakari beaches in Tallinn have been upgraded to welcome people with reduced mobility and allow going in the water with a special wheelchair. All the necessary infrastructure has been put in place at both beaches to ensure that summer beach fun is conveniently accessible for all.

Beaches for disabled persons that were created under the leadership of the city of Tallinn were recognised as worthy of the title "Deed of the Year 2022".
Tallinn Day celebrates the acquisition of Lübeck city rights in 1248, which included Tallinn as a member of the Union of European Cities. On Monday, 15 May, Tallinn will be 775 years old. The birthday events will begin on 14 May, when Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Tallinn Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart will open the Short Leg Gate.
In the upcoming weekend and the following weekend, namely 13-14 May and 20-21 May, Tallinn residents can dispose of both hazardous waste and reusable items during the collection round near their homes.
Due to the LHV Women’s Run in Pirita, on Saturday 20 May from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, the locations of bus stops of lines 1, 5, 8, 34 and 38 on Pirita tee in the direction leading out of the city will be changed. The Kose tee section between Pirita tee and Rummu tee will be closed, and the routes of bus lines 5 and 6 will be changed in both directions.
A new series of outdoor training programmes lasting throughout the summer will begin on Monday, 12 June. The objective of these programmes is to offer young people aged 7-26 a way to spend time doing sporting activities during the summer and to encourage them to exercise regularly. Participation in the summer training is free for young people from Tallinn.
