Up to five new railway crossings for pedestrians and cyclists will be built in Tallinn over the next three years.

At today’s meeting, the Tallinn City Government appointed new district governors for Kesklinn and Pirita. Starting from August 20th, Ahti Kallikorm will lead the Kesklinn district, and Ivan Lavrentjev will head the Pirita district.

From 1 September, Tallinn, in cooperation with Rae Municipality and Põhja-Eesti Ühistranspordikeskus (North-Estonia Public Transport Centre), will launch bus line No. 47, connecting Ülemiste City and Peetri. Initially, the new line will operate until the end of this year.

The City of Tallinn has announced the 2025 City Council Scholarship (Raestipendium) competition. The purpose of the scholarship is to support and recognise master’s and doctoral students whose research addresses Tallinn’s development and offers practical solutions for the city. Applications can be submitted from 1–15 October.

On October 8-9, the Tallinn Social and Healthcare Department will host the first "Integration Window 2024" conference and fair, created specifically for Tallinn residents with a migrant background.

Due to the construction of the second phase of the Vanasadama tram line, which will begin in April, changes will be made to 27 bus routes. From 4 April to 31 May 2023, buses 1, 2, 8, 9, 11, 14, 18, 18A, 20, 20A, 23, 29, 31, 34, 35, 38, 40, 44, 46, 48, 51, 55, 60, 63, 67 and 68 will be rerouted and bus 15 will change.

An extraordinary meeting of the Kristiine district council was held yesterday, where the deputy mayor of Tallinn, Aleksei Jašin, introduced the candidacy of Kristiine's new district mayor, Renata Lukk, to members of the district council.

Alexela, Eesti Energia, the Port of Tallinn, the University of Tartu and the Estonian Hydrogen Association have today signed an agreement to establish Hydrogen Valley Estonia to accelerate the vigorous and versatile development of the hydrogen industry and to officially establish the world’s first nationwide Hydrogen Valley.

Estonian company Elmo, the first to put teledriving technology into service in 2022, has expanded to Helsinki. As a result, Finland became the second country in Europe to have teledriving on its streets and roads.
