Due to water main construction near Tartu maantee 60a, traffic will be significantly disrupted along the stretch between Laulupeo Street and Lubja Street from April 22 to April 27. Today, the Tallinn City Government appointed the district governors for Kristiine and Nõmme. Starting May 2, Renata Lukk will lead Kristiine, while Karmo Kuri, who also served in this role during the previous administration, will continue as the governor of Nõmme. Both candidates received approval from their respective district councils.

The Tallinn City Government approved the decision to initiate the detailed planning for the Suur-Sõjamäe 4 property and its vicinity, paving the way for the redevelopment of the shopping center located on the site and the construction of commercial buildings near the intersection of Tartu maantee and Suur-Sõjamäe Street. Additionally, the detailed plan creates the opportunity for future development of a European Park linking the Rail Baltica junction station and the shopping center extensions.

Musical ensembles from Tallinn, a UNESCO City of Music, will perform three concerts in Tartu, the European Capital of Culture 2024. The Tallinn Chamber Orchestra will perform in Tartu on May 26, and the Tallinn Police Orchestra will perform in Räpina on May 23 and in Võru on October 6.

Starting Monday, June 10, construction will begin on the pedestrian tunnel at the intersection of Paldiski maantee and Tehnika Street. This project will result in temporary changes to traffic arrangements and, in later stages, a temporary disruption of train services around the Balti jaam train station.
