As part of a charity campaign that took place throughout September, 75 schools across Estonia, including 8 Tallinn schools, received slacklines to promote physical activity among students.
The 18th Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day took place on Tuesday 28 September and included more than 40 events dedicated to participants ranging from brand new entrepreneurs to senior executives. In total, 2000 people attended the seminars in person and online. This year’s Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day was a hybrid event – selected seminars were streamed online, but the main programme took place in person. This was made possible with the help of 40 partners.
The development project of the year, collaborative project of the year, start-up of the year, tourism deed of the year, job creator of the year, future solution and eco-innovation awards were announced at the Tallinn Business Awards gala held at the Song Festival Grounds on 30 September. Awards were also presented for the best applied research projects.
Two tenders were submitted for the Tallinn public procurement to find a designer for the Pollinator Highway linear park on the section between Ristiku Street and Kolde Boulevard.
From today, 3 September to 1 October, all Tallinners will be able to submit proposals on which projects could be funded from the city's participatory budget in 2022.
From this autumn, Tallinn will start paying the one-time allowance 320 euros for children going to the first grade in one instalment. So far, the benefit has been paid in two parts. Parents can start applying for the benefit from 13 September.
The City Government adopted a package of support measures, which includes both crisis help for residents and benefits for economic operators from the beginning of September to the end of the year. The city will continue to compensate the first day of sick leave to residents of Tallinn. Also, rent exemption to entrepreneurs operating in the city's premises will be extended until the end of the year.
On Saturday and Sunday, 4-5 September, Tallinn celebrates the beginning of the Green Mobility Month and holds an event “Green Journey in the Heart of the City”, which will take place on Estonia puiestee and Tammsaare Park to raise awareness about green mobility and encourage sustainable means of transport.
