Tallinn creates emergency centres in every district, or institutions that are independent from outside service providers. The purpose of these centres is to provide help, advice and information during large-scale electricity or water outages, fire or other crises. While the emergency centres are mostly located in city district administration buildings that people are accustomed to visiting, the network is planned to be expanded.

Next week, 24-30 April, the spring school break offers children and young people in Tallinn the opportunity to take part in a diverse and exciting range of activities, from nature to exercise and from culture to robotics.

Fifteen thousand euros will be allocated from the reserve fund of Tallinn City Government to the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra to support Tallinn’s sister city Odessa and keep the tradition of Ukraine’s largest classical music festival ‘Odessa Classics’ alive in Tallinn.

At the beginning of last year, Tallinn launched the Test in Tallinn programme, initiated by Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart, inviting companies to test new technologies in urban spaces and systems. The focus was on tests in urban mobility, renewable energy and energy saving. To date, a total of 37 test project applications have been received, of which 21 have been accepted.
