The Mayor of Tallinn Mihhail Kõlvart participated in the International Environment Forum – Stockholm+50 – on Wednesday, which opened the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm.

Tallinn Deputy Mayor Tiit Terik participated in a digital assembly of mayors as part of the world cities summit held in Brussels. Representing Tallinn, he signed the Living-in.eu declaration, whose purpose is to create successful innovative digital solutions for the advancement of sustainable digital transitioning in European Union cities and communities in cooperation with cities of different sizes.

The 2023 United Nations Sustainable Development Summit took place on September 18-19 in New York, focusing on discussions about the action plan for achieving Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and the current progress of its implementation. Prior to the event, discussions were held with representatives from various cities, during which Deputy Mayor Tiit Terik introduced Tallinn's Development Strategy, "Tallinn 2035," and discussed other initiatives.

The key focus was on the role of cities in shaping EU policy and their contribution to achieving climate objectives.

In addition to being the European green capital, Tallinn will also be the capital of green technology of the world in November 13-17. The most innovative ideas from Europe, Asia and the United States will be hosted within the framework of the international technology event NEXPO Tallinn.
