Tallinn recognises successful athletes of the Beijing Olympics
The Tallinn City Government has allocated €39 000 from its reserve fund to the Tallinn Culture and Sports Department to recognise to support athletes from Tallinn and their coaches who performed successfully at the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Today, 24 March at 14:00, Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart will acknowledge and congratulate the Olympic athletes and their coaches at a formal ceremony in the Town Hall.
Tallinn supports high-achieving athletes and sports projects with a total of nearly 395 000 euros
In April, Tallinn allocated a total of 375 820 euros to 293 high-achieving athletes and 19,062 euros to 17 local sports projects as part of the grants for non-profit activities in the field of sports.
Tallinn Maritime Days to take programme to sea more than before
Today, Estonia’s largest maritime and family event published its programme. From 14-16 July, three of the capital’s ports (Vanasadam cruise area, Lennusadam and Noblessner harbour campus) will be hosting a densely packed cultural programme and many maritime activities.

With 2023 being the year of movement, a variety of exercise and sporting activities are taking place at Tallinn Maritime Days. The maritime days sporting activities will be taking place from 14-16 July at the Vanasadam cruise area, Lennusadam, Noblessner harbour campus as well as Pirita.
City Government appoints district governors for Haabersti and Mustamäe
The Tallinn City Government has appointed the district governors for Haabersti and Mustamäe. Starting today, May 10, Anna Levandi will lead the Haabersti district, and Marja-Liisa Veiser will lead Mustamäe.
Program announced: Tall Ships Races brings over 60 sailing ships and a maritime festival to Tallinn
From July 11 to 14, Tallinn will host the world’s largest sailing training regatta, Tall Ships Races, at Lennusadam, Noblessner Harbour, and the Old City Harbour cruise area. Over the course of four days, the harbors will be filled with a festive atmosphere – visitors can explore sailing ships, enjoy performances by Estonia’s top artists, and participate in activities both on land and at sea.
Tallinn’s maritime festival to feature extensive children's activities
This year, Tallinn hosts and organizes the world's largest sail training regatta, Tall Ships Races, taking place from July 11-14 at Lennusadam, Noblessner Harbour, and the Old City Harbour Cruise Area. The grand maritime festival features a rich and varied children’s program.
