In response to Minister of the Interior Lauri Läänemets, Tallinn's Mayor Mihhail Kõlvart has expressed the city's request for an extension in making the decision to close the Kopli fire department and has offered to contribute to its continued operation.

The peace education programme Gutsy Go, brought to schools by the Tallinn Education Department, continues to expand internationally. In the spring, the programme included just Ukrainian war refugees. From 11 to 15 September, youth in Tallinn will be working together with their peers from Riga and Helsinki.

The temporary tram line No. 6, introduced during the construction of the Old City Harbour tram line, will continue to operate on the Tondi-Kopli route until at least the end of October. Starting on October 1, the rest of the tram traffic will be fully restored. The City is also exploring the option of permanently continuing with tram line No. 6

Tram line 5 will resume service in Tallinn on November 1, operating along the Kopli-Vana-Lõuna route for the first time since 2004. Temporary tram line number 6, which was established due to the construction work in the city center, will continue to operate until October 31.

Due to the construction works on Vana-Kalamaja Street at the crossroads of Tööstuse and Soo streets, there is a temporary change in the route of bus line 3 on the way out of the city, i.e. in the direction of Randla from 8 May to 21 May.

Tallinn's public transportation will follow a Sunday schedule during the Christmas period. On New Year's Eve, December 31, due to a concert at Freedom Square, traffic will be closed in the area, and bus and trolley lines passing through will be rerouted. After midnight on January 1, several lines will operate extended services to ensure partygoers can return home via public transport.

The Tallinn City Government has submitted a budget proposal for 2024 to the City Council, totaling 1.26 billion euros, marking an increase of 79.5 million euros or 6.7 percent compared to the revised 2023 budget.

Tallinn City Government has submitted the draft of the city's second supplementary budget for 2023 to the City Council, which specifies budgeted revenues, expenditures, investments, and financing transactions. The largest growth in expenses is planned in the fields of education and roads and streets.

The City Government has approved the detailed planning for properties located in Põhja-Tallinn at Telliskivi Street 62 and 64, at A. Adamson Street 12 in the city centre, along with adjacent properties at Kevade Street 8. Additionally, the detailed planning for properties at Apteegi Street 3, 5, 7, and 9 was initiated.
