This month, the design and construction of the Stroomi beach facility will begin in Põhja-Tallinn. According to the contract signed between the Tallinn Property Department and EstNor OÜ, the beach facility is expected to be completed by the summer of 2025.

The Tallinn City Government has made a principal decision to acquire the Kalamaja Primary School property, located at Vabriku Street 18, to address space shortages and the lack of educational placements in Põhja-Tallinn.

The architecture competition for the planned kindergarten in the Manufactory quarter, organized by the City of Tallinn, has been won by the architectural firm Creatomus Solutions OÜ with their design "Hiiepuu." The authors of the design are Renee Puusepp, Patric Liik, Jelyzaveta Peresada, Aline Aparecida Cabral de Carvalho, Marija Katrina Dambe, Florian Betat, Juris Dambis, Kiur Lootus, and Eva-Maria Truusalu.

On August 29, Tallinn will celebrate Baltic Sea Day with a series of activities near Linnahall, including clean-up efforts, workshops, and a discussion on the state of the Baltic Sea. The day will culminate in the opening concert of the Linnaruumifestival (Urban Space Festival) and a special performance titled "How to Look at the Sea." Tallinn is developing a comprehensive solution for the reconstruction of Ristiku and Härjapea streets to transform the area into a human-centered urban space with smooth and efficient traffic flow. Water and sewer line construction at the intersection of Tööstuse, Kopli, and Sitsi streets will interrupt tram line No. 1 from August 12 to August 18. Today, the Kopli Volunteer Rescue Squad begins operations, offering basic rescue capabilities. This includes a 24/7 smoke diving rescue team capable of responding within 60 seconds, equivalent to the response time of professional firefighters.
