The nominees for Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards have been selected. A total of 70 candidates were submitted in seven main categories, from which the winners will be announced on September 27th. The categories include the Best Development Project, Collaboration Project, Bright Newcomer, Tourism Achievement, Job Creator, Solution of the Future, and Eco-Innovation. Additionally, awards will be given for the best applied research projects.

The 20th annual Tallinn Entrepreneurship Day takes place on September 26th at the Viru Conference Center. The theme of the event is "Skills that Matter in Future Entrepreneurship," emphasizing the development of entrepreneurial skills and their significance in a changing business environment.

The city of Tallinn and Utilitas OÜ will enter into a partnership agreement with the aim of creating the joint venture AS Utilitas Tallinna Soojus for district heating, 33.34% being owned by the city and 66.66% by Utilitas. The new joint venture will be a holding company leading investments in the Tallinn region, while AS Utilitas Tallinn will continue to sell heat.

The Tallinn City Government sent the council a draft to continue with the European Space Agency’s business incubator programme 2024-2027 and to support new joining companies with up to €270,000.

The Tallinn City Government decided during today’s meeting that seven locations in Old Town will be leased out to Ringo Eco OÜ, a business specialising in green technology.
