Tallinn improves its score as a sustainable tourism destination in the global rankings

Tallinn has shown progress in the Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS-Index) 2023 analysis, a program renowned as the most reliable benchmarking and improvement tool in tourism sustainability. Since joining the program in 2021, Tallinn has consistently improved its performance. Today, it surpasses the average scores of cities in North America, Eastern and Western Europe, and also ranks higher than any other city in Eastern Europe in individual assessments.

Tallinn's special prize at the Ajujaht Competition awarded to probiotic beverage producer Raw Edge

Yesterday's Ajujaht (Brain Hunt) entrepreneurship competition finale announced the winner of the Tallinn Special Prize, recognizing the technology company Raw Edge for its innovation and eco-friendly approach in the food industry. Raw Edge specializes in developing ultra-low-calorie products that support gut health and overall wellbeing, using fermentation technology.

A new vision for Linnahall area opens the city centre to the sea

The City of Tallinn introduced a new vision for the area surrounding Linnahall today, aiming to initiate a discussion about the future of the area. Following public discussions, there are plans to proceed with detailed planning and to involve investors for the implementation of the proposed design. The area is planned for public and commercial buildings. The concept involves either a complete reconstruction of Linnahall or the construction of a new building.

24 green label marked restaurants participate in Tallinn Restaurant Week

Tallinn Restaurant Week starts tomorrow, with 81 restaurants offering culinary delights from November 1 to 7. In collaboration with Tallinn, criteria have been established allowing restaurants to choose a dish from their à la carte menu that meets one of the set criteria and mark it with the green label. This initiative has been joined for the first time by 24 restaurants.

Winners revealed at Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards Gala

At the Tallinn Entrepreneurship Awards gala held at the Seaplane Harbour (Lennusadam) yesterday, the awards for the Best Development Project, Collaboration Project, Bright Newcomer, Tourism Achievement, Job Creator, Solution of the Future, and Eco-Innovation of the year were announced, alongside awards for the best applied research projects.
